mac event invites

What is the criteria for a getting an invitation to a mac event such as Cult of Cherry. I buy a lot of Mac makeup and never get invited to these events

Where do you shop? And are you in their data base?

If its at counters usually they will invite you if you go in during the weeks appointments are being made.

At a store, they can send post cards at random, but also if you buy around the dates apps are being made.

I know right now we are doing appointments for Cult of Cherry and we are inviting walk in shoppers.

i dont know about anyone else, but if you have been a customer for years and they know you, than that might also be a factor in regards to receiving an invite. me personally have been invited to all the events that they have had in the past.

their are no criteria for receiving invites. some people get em, some people don't. hell, i get em from the counter that i work at!

Atleast your counters and stores have events! I've never been to one because we don't have them.

I asked an MA at the store here and she said if you are in their database (which I am) then you get invites. I don't know if they've sent any out yet but I haven't gotten one.

When I need MAC (or better yet WANT MAC) I have to travel 45 minutes to the closest Macys to shop. I met one of the coolest MUA's there and she calls me when they are having events. She just called me a few days ago in fact to schedule me an appt for the Cult of Cherry event during the weekend of the 29th to the 31st. I made an appt for Sat the 30th and I can't wait to go!!! I already have my list of things I want!!!

If you shop at a MAC counter or store, register your name with them when you purchase something.

Additionally, you can log on to MACcosmetics.com, go to your Account, then hit Edit under Account Profile. This will take you to a screen where you will see the following message at the bottom of the page:

"Find out what's going on at a M·A·C store near you. To receive email about special events and services, please select a M·A·C stores below: "

Under the above message it has two drop-down boxes that let you pick a state and store.
