I just came accross this on MUA, the caption said it was a Nordstrom MAC gift with purchase!
Does anyone know the details on it, or if MAC will have any GWP's in Canada??

Hope Amazonna doesn't mind that I posted this, but here's the description:

The can is about 4 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches across. Perfect gift for a MAC addict. This GWP is part of the MAC Next Pro Tour at Nordstrom stores. The gift has: MAC Brand clear and black plastic bag MAC Paint Can MAC black pencil MAC NEXT spiral notebook filled with both completed and blank face charts - a very cool way to get track of your hottest looks. MAC face chart cards: Iconic Woman, Clean Contemporary and Gold N' Brown.

Ugh. Bet we don't get it. I was mentioning Temperley to the MA and why did it have to be Nordstrom exclusive and she said "Nordstrom has done alright by MAC".

It's not a GWP, it's more like a 'bonus' for attending their NEXT seminars. It's nothing special IMO. I've attended a few and haven't been impressed, but it is nice to meet the MAC PRO artists and chat with them a bit. They also bring in a very limited amount of PRO product for the seminar. Usually a few pigments, CCB's & brushes. The tins and cases are usually cheaply made and have a pencil, paper, and face charts stuck inside along with a couple of samples of a moisturizer or something to that effect.

You usually have to pay a 'reservation fee' which has gone up considerably since the first NEXT @ Nordstrom seminarsI attended (and thus why I have stopped attending, I think it's ridiculous how much they are charging now). IIRC some locations ask upwards of $100 now. All of which is redeemable in product after the session.

The PRO artists demo some 'techniques' on random people they pick before the session starts. It's all basic stuff, I always feel like they dumb it down a bit and explain all the very basic techniques. Which is good for the beginner MAC and makeup enthusiast.

//edited to clarify that they are cheaply made, not the cheap as in you have to pay for them.

That's what makes me mad. MAC was origionally a Canadian company, but like every other good Canadian company they sold themselves to an American one. I just wish MAC would remember their roots and have some Canadian exclusives, or at least have more Canadian promos like all the diff Nordies exclusives. Thank goodness we get the summer exclusive paired with Nordstroms.
