It's not a GWP, it's more like a 'bonus' for attending their NEXT seminars. It's nothing special IMO. I've attended a few and haven't been impressed, but it is nice to meet the MAC PRO artists and chat with them a bit. They also bring in a very limited amount of PRO product for the seminar. Usually a few pigments, CCB's & brushes. The tins and cases are usually cheaply made and have a pencil, paper, and face charts stuck inside along with a couple of samples of a moisturizer or something to that effect.
You usually have to pay a 'reservation fee' which has gone up considerably since the first NEXT @ Nordstrom seminarsI attended (and thus why I have stopped attending, I think it's ridiculous how much they are charging now). IIRC some locations ask upwards of $100 now. All of which is redeemable in product after the session.
The PRO artists demo some 'techniques' on random people they pick before the session starts. It's all basic stuff, I always feel like they dumb it down a bit and explain all the very basic techniques. Which is good for the beginner MAC and makeup enthusiast.

//edited to clarify that they are cheaply made, not the cheap as in you have to pay for them.
