I've been buying MAC since 96 and I can count on 1 hand how many nice MA's I've had. I never had luck with them so I just help myself. Lately my husband has been with me and they're like super nice, all of'em. My husband even noticed how nice they were, he said it's like they know I'm gonna buy you something lol. One MA today even told another customer she couldn't help her cause she was with me, whoa thats a first for me. I just think its funny, so now I drag my hubby with me when I go to MAC lol.

Hey I think I just saw this post on the boards at MUA, lol! Thing is, you shouldn't have to bring your husband along in order to get good service, and I can't really understand why they're nicer to you when it's like that? Personally I think sometimes I've been ignored cos I'm 18 but look younger so they probably think I can't afford it,hahaha... Well, I guess that's kinda true though.

My money is just as good as his! But on the flip side being a sales person myself I guess I do understand and can't get mad even tho its unfair. Not sure if that made any sense :-/

Sounds like me at Bobbi Brown, they either ignore me or ask me if I need something and walk away - they're so rude there. So I just look and never buy b/c of the treatment.

My husband would have a heart attack if he saw me at the mac counter... and how much everything cost, he'd be dragging me out.. I've had nightmares about hubby at the mac counter, LOL!

I try to avoid shopping with my husband- I may try it sometime to check out if service improves.

Wow, that sounds just like when I last went to Mac! Usually it's hit or miss if I get noticed, since I'm 17 I suppose, though I'm pretty regular there so I should be recognised as having bought a lot of stuff! Anyway, I went there this weekend with my mum in tow, and suddenly they were all over me. Though it was me who had to pay for the lippy I had to buy hah.

Hi all

i'm from Singapore and usually i will find my usual MAs as they are really sweet!

not sure about that but i don't think my friends and i would love to go make up shopping with our guys as not to get nagged by them.

but thank god for me, my boyfriend does not control my spendings as long as it is coming out of my own pocket haha

I'm not sure if I'll ever put my man through the torture of going makeup shopping with me LOL! But then again... I am kind of a "get in & get out" kind of girl. The chicks that I've dealt with at the counters are incredibly rude a "What do you want??" kind of attitude that I will not tolerate... but the ones at the MAC store have always been nice, maybe it's because they know I always spend a ton of money in there. Who knows

yeah i get ignored sometimes too, im only 16 . esspecially if im not wearing makeup when i go to the counter, they just pass right by me like im not even standing there. but the nice ones at the counters are lucky cause i always end up leaving the counter with atleast $5O+ of stuff.

Most of the MA's at my counter know me, and a few know me BECAUSE of my boyfriend. He was in there a lot in December to buy me presents for Christmas and my birthday...I guess not many guys are bold enough to buy makeup for their girlfriends, because they always remember him even if he's not with me.
