my counter still has 20+ sticks of plink, i love that color and while i was working at the counter i thought it was strange how few people purchased it (even when i would talk the hell out of it, loving it so much)..
a lot of times they discontinue things and re-release them with a subtle difference (packaging, slight shade difference or reformulation, etc) like the pigments being in new jars. you'll also notice that in update books, where they list the working names vs the released name, sometimes they'll have the working name as something like "pink nouveau 02" or something.. which leads me to believe (taking into consideration the shade similarity) that it's the exact same shade with maybe one minimal difference. when the tone:grey quad was released, the update book listed the shade tone:grey's working name as something along the lines of "scene v2" and i swatched the two colors (scene and tone:grey) side by side and well... it was terribly similar. haha.
moisturecover is almost completely gone from my counter, save the darkest of dark shades.. it's really sad, that's the only concealer i've ever used that i feel completely satisfied with considering my skin type.
as for CCB's, i've asked around and everyone (at every counter in my area) looks at me like i'm crazy when i do. i've also gotten "noo... that would never be discontinued unless they made it a pro item. those are a staple product in ever pro artist's kit". so maybe as a lot of people have said, it will become a pro product. i certainly hope so, like i'm hoping moisturecover and a few of the other products, they'll come back around or stay accessable somehow.
