I had the same reactions to take root and lady grey
what do you wear with satin taupe? I had to go into mac pro one day and get help. lOL

I always wear Satin Taupe on the lid and in the crease I wear some kinda plum or orange. My favorites are Sketch and Saffron. Rule, Folie, and Shadowy Lady also look good with ST(on me, at least). I saw a tutorial on youtube using those shades with ST and decided to give it a shot. It made me love a shadow I once hated.

I'm trying to resist the urge to order Mythical. I keep telling myself it's just like Coppering, which I only used once after being horrified. I know it's not true, though.
Me too! I dont wanna buy mythical even though the color interests me. I hoping if i mix cranberry and honey lust that i will get the same color lol i could be way off though

I saw and swatched most of the collection last night (I didn't look at the lipsticks). The 'ice' collection are colors that I normally wear and gravitate towards. But I only walked away with Heirloom s/s....and I'm not sure I like it. Its beautiful on my hand, but I can't get any pigmentation on my eyelid (medium-light skin tone). The shimmer didn't even show up and hardly any color and that's even after trying it over NYX milk jumbo pencil as a base. I think I'd do better with a cream shadow from Benefit or Estee Lauder in this color.

I almost picked up Street Cool s/s because it was beautiful. But I know I would shy away from wearing that color on me and I prefer powder form (Satin Taupe). For those that like darker colors, grab this s/s!

I wanted to love the Lady Grey quad, and it is really nice, but I felt like I had similar colors already. Stunner barely showed up on me at all, but the color was very pretty.

So my wallet was happy

Thanks for all the advice on being able to reshape the bristles on the 226. Luckily I noticed today on Nordstrom's website that they had the 226 back in stock again. (Briefly in stock anyway) So I called and they are sending a replacement. Hopefully this time it won't be bent.

I can't believe they did this to other people. What are they smoking over there?

It may sound dark, but with the highlight of the brow bone and the nice light color tapped on to the dark palace pedigreed, you wouldn't see the darkness too much, it actually made her face seem brightend up and more vibrant. Hope this helped.

Yes, this helped a lot. Thanks!

I have to agree with posts saying the evil eye quad is not that bad. I stopped by MAC yesterday to swatch a few things and ended up getting both quads, midnight blues, & 3 shadesticks. The evil eye quad shows up well & with decent pigmentation when layered over a paint pot. I used it over painterly today, along with prance & blanc type, and I really like the look. I agree that it is not an A+ palette or the best thing that MAC has ever released. I certainly wouldn't call it the worst though. I am NW 20, and I like that I can build up the color.

I ended up buying Creamy Bisque today - its lovely. Nordstrom was sold out of a lot of products but Saks still had everything but Oh Oh Oh

2browneyes, I was in Walgreens tonight and grabbed that 919B. It looks really good.

I lined with MAC's Nightmoth, and put a tiny bit of Revlon's Lilac Pastelle Lipgloss over it. It was really pretty. Pretty enough that I no longer crave MAC's Smoked Purple.

I checked out all the 226 brushes that they had in stock at my Mac counter in Macy's and they were not tapered.

They were like a mini version of the 224 brush, except the 226 was a little bit denser.I still like my Sonia Kashuk crease brush better. It's way denser and blends out all harsh lines and can be used to apply eyeshadow on the crease too.

I wonder if the 226 brush will sell out cuz my Mac counter had over 20 in stock. If it ends up at the Estee Lauder Company Store, I might grab it since it's going to be a little cheaper, but I don't really need it.

I made the mistake of going by the MAC counter around 5pm on a Saturday. It was super crowded and I couldn't play and ask questions like I wanted too. I only swatched a couple of things, but I was more disappointed I couldn't have the area to myself. lol I know selfish right! I only ended up with Mythical. I did like Offshoot but I already have Gem of Roses so I don't need another similar color. I felt like Carbonized was something I already had as well.

I did like the 211 brush but forgot to ask for it after waiting 30mins to check out. So I might just order it online if its still there. I might go check out the collection again one day this week if I have time.
