Hey! I tried my MAC Myth lipstick for the first time the other day & i don't get the hype with this lipstick. I'm an NC20 & this colour looked awful on me, almost like a layer of a peachy coloured glue! Got any nice combos or tips with wearing this lipstick? I wanna make it work...i wanna buy into the hype LOL thanks!

I don't have this particular color but I've found that using nude colored lipsticks or any one in the amplified cream formula (which I hate working with!) by applying it with a brush really helps it look better. I'm not sure if you tried that but it's worth a shot! I don't really like the look on me but some people look so hot with a dramatic smoky eye and a nude matte lip.

Try it with a liner, like subcultre. that will help pop the color and give your lips more definition. and you could try putting a colored gloss on top to give it a different shade

I looove this lipstick. If I ever find out it's going to be discontinued I'm buying a whole truckload. so yea, try it with a lipliner.. I use Subculture too. and I always put gloss over it. It makes the color better and not as flat/dry-looking. I just put a nude colored gloss over it. If the color is too light on you, try a pink gloss over it.

It looked the same on me, i normally put Jewy Dube lip gelee on top and it goes to a bubble gum pink on me. I'm lighter then NC15 hth.

thats one of the best colors MAC has made and it CAN work for Brunettes and people of other colorations. It os the best alternative to those girls who like using concealer or foundation on their lips.

One Thing is that your skin tone should be paler, I'm blonde, pretty tan, green eyes, and my long time BFF was mexican with black hair and a slightly lighter complexion... it looks great on both of us. I wouldn't recomend it for somone as dark as salma hayek in the summer but maybe a winter color for her.

The trick is smokey dark eyes. You can't just put this lipstick on with no other makeup and expect to look good, it will wash you out. A lot of smokey eye, porn star, super dramatic makeup calls for pale, nude, or light lips, and this is PERFECT for it. Another great way to use it is with a clear, pink, or shimmery gloss since it is a matte finish.

another thing that you may not realize is that its usually a good idea to match your lip color to your gum color (gums, as in the flesh around your teeth) If you have really red gums, then red lipstick can work for you. Paler pink gums look petter with light pinks and MAC Myth color.

So try working with a more dramatic eye color, full coverage foudation and a good blush/bronzer to highlight. and dont use too much or it will get cakey and clumpy around the inner sides of your lips. a little goes a long way.

Actually, I just swapped for it on MUA...so waiting for it to come in the mail. I never tried it as it's limited edition. I just want to know what all the hype is about. Does anyone know how it compares to MAC Peachstock (my love)? Thanks:)
