So this can be used as a regular powder, to set the foundation, only the ingredients are different - mineral? And the shimmery side is used for highlight?

Yes, you can. IMO the finish of the MSFs is a bit softer than a regular powder, but you can use it to set the foundation!

We got these the other day! I think they are coming out on Thursday in the UK! They are totally gorgeous! I am going to buy all of them! I can't describe how lovely they are! They are baked in Italy for 24 hours in an oven over tericotta which draws out all the natural minerals so they are really good for your skin! Honestly they are so pretty!!!

correct. you use the natural side either to set your foundation or as a powder by itself. it has a sheer to medium coverage depending on what you use to apply it. besides the color and purpose of it, they are pretty much the same thing. the biggest difference is that you CAN NOT use these wet, like you can with the MSF, or else you ruin it. not sure yet about whether you can wet the shimmery side of these duos, but the regular natural side you can not.

I actually love the msf naturals for some light easy coverage on the days you don't want a full face of makeup on. Couple that with a light shimmer on the cheeks and it sounds like I would be good to go for the summer

i posted this just a few posts back. i don't have any blemishes, just a little unevenness, so i don't wear foundation. i can control the amount of coverage by switching brushes, and its alot faster to apply than foundation. and it never looks like i have anything on.

i am not sure how i feel about these till i see them in person. I am nc43 which one would suit me? I remember when MSFN came out the MA reccomended medium plus for me but when i had a look at it, i thought it was light for my skin. I am more excited about the shimmer part since the MSFN are permanent anyway.

I love MSFN, but I wear Light so I can't buy one from New View unfortunately. I really want to try out the highlighter side however, so I was thinking about getting Light Medium to use as a contour. I find Bone Beige/Emphasize from Sculpt & Shape to be a little muddy on me..would Light Medium be dark enough for a subtle contour shade, or should I go for Medium?

i'd go with medium if you're wanting to highlight/contour.

I saw these today and they are a lot nicer than I though they would be. I am very fair (NW15) and I pre-ordered the light medium. Like erine1881 said above I am going to use it to contour/highlight. I think these would also be nice for your shoulders and arms. It gives a nice glow.

i am an nc35 so i believe I would use medium/shimmer. i am not sure what the main purpose is of these though. do they go over foundation and powder as a highlight or do they replace powder?
