Hello girls!

I bought a MAC shadow (STEAMY frost) and it dosent matter what I do, I still don't get ANY colour! What is the problem? Is it just one bad shadow or is all macs shadows like that? (that mac was my first)

Do you use a base? What kind of brush do you use?

When you pick up the color with your fingers do you see color? I usually find frosts the have color ie freshwater. However I have never owned steamy, but I have seen many FOTD so I know that color shows up.

Sorry, I don't own it myself, but I've had colours that REALLY need a base to show up/get colour payoff. I'd use a paint pot or shadestick or just paint tube, many people also seem to like Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Hope that helps!

Steamy is a pale blue with TONS of frost.
A base is a great idea to bring the blue out through all that frostiness.

I've had a similar problem with a a couple of shadows before and just taken them back to where I bought them from and kept my fingers crossed that they would give me a refund or an exchange. Sometimes it can just be a bad batch.

Mac shadows usually have fantastic colour pay off

I own Steamy and it's very strong colour, really pretty, you either need a base or you have a bad batch. Talk to a MA, i'm sure he/she will exchange it for you

I actually own steamy and have to be light on the hand since it's pretty pigmented. Maybe exchange it for another one and give it another go.
