MAC on "The View" 03/14

So today on "The View" Senior Artist Bianca Alexander was a guest. She talked about extreme makeup ideas, such as the glossy smoky eye, the glitter/rhinestone look, the strong brow look, and the cat eye using bright colors. All the looks were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the hosts didn't agree. I was so disappointed to see the rude comedian on that show ( Joy) diss Ms. Alexander's looks in such an obvious way. When the model with the rhinestone look came out to the audience, Joy said " ohhh, no, no, no". and when the glossy smoky look came out, she kept on saying how messy and dingy it looked, You would think that someone like Joy that has been in the industry for a while would know how to bring up her ideas about something without offending anyone. What an old fart!

oh how terribly disappointing. she is an old lady with no fashion sense, bad hair and bad makeup (not to mention poor manners!)

someone should email the view and complain!

geh.... sorry, i hate the view. it's cool that they had a mac artist on it, but IMO the view is unworthy of having mac awesomeness on the show.

I did appreciate Star commenting on makeup being more like an accessory (like a good purse). Just as you chnage your purse you can change makeup looks. Options ;-)

well look @ her. i actually love the view, but some of the women on there are obviously older and have a more "stuck in the past" opinion on beauty. and truthfully, a rhinestoned or glossy look probably would look awful on joy, she's like 55 or something...w/e, she has a mullet anyway, haha

i'm just annoyed that they didn't treat Ms. Alexander with respect. It's one thing to voice that a look isn't for you. it's another thing to deny the beauty in the looks.i plan on complaining. you guys should too

Damn, damn damn!!! I sooo wanted to see this! I only got 3 hours of sleep last night before I had to catch the airport bus for my flight home. I was so tired when I got home I was laying in bed watching the View trying my hardest to stay awake for the makeup look segment and I fell asleep probably right before it aired! I remember seeing the segment before, and then bam! I was out like a light until 3:30pm! Booo

I really wanted to see it!

Joy is perpetually nasty and disagrees with everyone. If you don't think like her she is rude and dismissive. I am sorry Meredith is leaving the show because she is my favorite.

I don't know their names but I hate this show, largely because they all interrupt one another and you can't hear anyone expound an argument or a viewpoint. They should get a conch to pass round (sorry, Lord of the Flies reference!). Whenever it's on in the background, it just sounds like continuous noise. Ugh.

I couldn't agree more. MAC is about trend and although I did not see the segment, it sounds as if that is what they were demonstrating. It is just unprofessional of The View to fail to do their homework and understand what MAC is about and to let someone host the segment that was, well, a bit unflexible in her thinking.
