MAC or BE?! conflict of interest...

i interviewed for BE yesterday, and i was pretty much assured the job. waiting for the official call today. today i just got a call from MAC. the district manager in my area is interested in interviewing me next week (june 3) for a position. i never thought that the DM of MAC would get back to me, so i went ahead with the BE interview. now i'm scared because i know a chance to interview with MAC doesn't come often, but i also know that their interviewing process is much more extensive than BE. i see both of these positions as a chance to get into freelancing, something i want to do on the side one day. what would you do in this situation?! would you go ahead and go to the MAC interview and see what happens?

Right now, I would go with what ever offers you a job with steady hours and pay. MAC freelancers aren't being used very often right now, but I know what you mean about the offer to interview. I did a year of different cosmetic brands before MAC and it helped me understand more the cosmetics retail industry as I was just a N00b and all I wanted to do was paint faces, its much more than that, but its a great job.

Ask the DM if they are looking for permanent spots, as that is what would benefit you more.
