MAC palette question

How do I take the plastic insert out of my 15 eyeshadow palettes? I've seen ppl do this but I just can't take mine off and I broke my nail

I want to fit more depots in the palette so I need the insert off.

I insert a knife under one of the eyeshadow slots near a corner and pop each out that way. You might scrape the bottom, but it works.

I just did this recently, and I used a small screwdriver to pry loose an end. Once I got the end loose, I could easily pop the rest out. I actually broke one of the lids off mine before I figured out how to do it.

A knife or other pointed thin object works best. Just wiggle out each corner and it should come right out.

I just use my fingers. I take it from the middle, pinch the space between two empty slots and pull. It'll pop right out.

the four corners are actually glued on, so you may find it easier to pry it out if you twist the palette a little first (you'd probably hear a snapping sound as the glue breaks off)
