MAC Preview Party?

Hey I've never been to one before.... the closest MAC Store is in Boston about 45 minutes away, but I was just invited to the Give Me Liberty of London preview party, and I'm thinking I might stay up at my sisters' and go.


What are preview parties like? What do you do?

Any info would be greatly appreciated so I know whether it's worth it or not to go!

I say definitely go!!!!!!!!! U will have a blast! You get to play with and purchase all the new stuff and have drinks and lil snacks. I went to the Holiday Preview Party and it was lots of fun! Wish I was invited

basically, as the name states, you get to preview the collection before it hits the stores. you can get your make up done, take a look at the products, chat with the MAs and have a drink.
be aware that it will be very crowded. i usually just go in, grab the stuff i like and go!
i always go though, because LEs always sell out really fast here and if i buy the stuff early i don't have to run to the store on the collection's first day of release (and skip one of my early classes

) .

Hey I know it says they serve cocktails, but are you allowed to bring someone under 21? I want to go with my sister but she's only 20. Will they let her in?

Yeah, call and ask. They didn't bracelet ppl. There was a list and they checked your name on the list and your ID.

I called and they said they'll just put an X on her hand if she's underage. So I'll be fine!

I have another question. When I called to RSVP, the girl said she "made an appointment for me" at 8pm. Does this mean she was making a time for me to try out the products and get my makeup done, and I should go in with a bare face?

Or was she just giving me a time so not everyone is busting at the doors at 7pm when the event starts and she's trying to space people out?

Hey hun! I was invited to this preview too. And I'm also going to the Newbury St. one. I'm so excited about it and so happy you posted this. I wanted to ask some question's about previews ( this is my 1st ) and I think everyone answered them all. Thats awesome!
