I'm thinking of going there this week, while I still have time before school starts. I've never been around that area and I Google Earth'ed it just to double check, but what's the parking situation like over there?

It is all pretty much metered street parking around there and residential parking. It is not that bad, I have never had a problem finding a spot. I actually think that they have a few small hidden lots also, but I have never had to find them. You can also park at the Beverly Center and walk a few blocks to Robertson.

like the above poster said, hollywood and highland is a freestanding mac store, not a pro store. pro products are not available there.
parking over on robertson for the pro store is hell, like others mentioned. try to avoid weekends at all costs, go early in the morning or afternoon, because evenings get crowded because of the restaraunts and galleries. street parking is limited, good luck. the lot next to kitson, which is one block south of the mac store, is usually your best bet, but take a couple extra bucks to pay, since there are no validations. the mac store looks small from the front, but it goes far back. and they have some cool stuff right now, too. they still had cool and aloof from WTL, and the bathing ape lip conditioner. hope you have a good time! although, god help you if a celebrity decides to go shopping on the same day, i almost got killed by paparazzi chasing paris hilton out of lisa kline while i was there. the plus side, that section of robertson is frequented by celebrities, so if thats your thing, you might see someone you know!

The pro store in LA will validate for the parking across the street at the daily grill area/ underground. The MUA mentioned it to me last time i was in there and was griping about parking.
