MAC Purple Brushes

Hi everyone!

I'm new here, so I am probably posting this thread in the wrong place. Sorry in advance!
I am for Portugal and I was so thrilled to find this community!

Ok, so my question is:
I found some MAC brushes on Ebay, but they have a purple handle and the metal is not silver, but gold. The hair is regular black, though.

Since we don't get rare or collectible MAC items in Portugal, I was wondering... can anyone please let me know if MAC ever released this collection?

Sounds like it's a fake. I don't know of any purple brushes and even if there was, they always have silver at the joins not gold. Hope this helps

it sounds like its these brushes that came in the bottom bag.

5 Pro Brushes is a canvas, geometric-patterned bag that contains purple-lacquered, short-handled versions of 5 key brushes with gold ferrules.

they are from the nordies patternmake '06 collection. these are the only purple brushes that came with with gold ferrules. they are short-handled, machine-made brushes that sold for $48.50 for the entire set (including bag).

I have the Patternmaker sets. They were the first SE brushes I ever purchased from MAC. They still have the bottom bag at my CCO.

There was also a purple 266SE with Icon: Deneuve, but that had a silver ferrule.

My Deneuve is pink handled... maybe we're talking about different things.

Well that explains why my Contour brush has a pink handle.
