MAC recs for NC 42

Hey everyone! I'm hoping to get some Mac recommendations for the following..

1. Select Cover-Up vs. Moisturecover for undereyes

Which one is better for combination skin? I know I read on Specktra that almost all people need an NW shade for their undereye circles that are a few shades lighter than their actual shade.. does that mean I should get an NW 30?

2. Eyeshadows

I started collecting Mac a few months ago and I'm still building my collection.. I like neutrals, purples and grays.. I currently have:

Sumptuous Olive, Crystal, Satin Taupe, Style Snob, Smokes & Diamonds, the UD Deluxe Palette, Barbie loves Stila palette and the 88 Coastal Scents palette.

What eyeshadows should I get?

I prefer moisturecover for undereyes. I have combo skin and I find it more moisturizing than select coverup. I'm NC42 and use NW30. NW35 was a bit dark, but you might want to try both. For purples I really like Parfait Amour and Stars N' Rockets. I don't really wear neutrals so I'm can't help too much there, sorry! ^^;;

Hi! I am a NC42 as well... I'm not too sure about your concealer issue but with eyeshadows I can help...
Try plum dressing, nocturnelle and MUFE 92 for very pretty purples
If you like greys you can do a really sexy silver smokey eye with electra, silver ring, knight devine and carbon...
I do not do neutral looks very often but I like tete-a-tint.
Also, golds like goldmine, amberlights and woodwinked (must have!!) look great on us.

all that glitters, soft brown, espresso, and carbon are in my day-to-day neutral quad. also shroom and ricepaper for your highlight e/s
