MAC returns?

I bought Metallic Eyes set today from MAC, and I'm soooo clutsy because I just lost the brush in the first fifteen minutes. I think that I dropped it when i was looking at it (lol i'm so dumb i didn't realize the brush was missing) But what is the MAC (MAC @ Macy's) policy of returns? Can i just return it and buy it again with out the brush? Or will they just give me a new brush? I hope that is the case because i would feel bad if they throw the set away.

If you return it they're going to throw it away... and I know my The Bay counter doesn't give out replacement brushes...
I would just use my own brush since the brush that it comes with isn't very good.
Maybe you could swap for a brush? I've seen people swapping those tiny se brushes on MUA.

i wouldn't accept it as a return at my macys. that would be a wast of money and product if returned just because you lost the brush. just use an eye brush you use for other shadows.

The product itself is fine and you obviously want the set. You lost the brush so IMO its not anything wrong with MAC/Macy's whatever. And like above posters have said--maybe use your own brush as the ones that come in these sets are not the greatest.

i would just get one of those sponge applicators. the brush in the palette isn't any better any ways. or if you are familiar with the ma's maybe they can give you a brush from the testers?

Why should that location be responsible for your accident??? I hate when people even think of trying stuff like this and it's hard for me to be nice to people that come in with these situations. "I lost a brush so I want to exchange this item because I made a mistake." "Can I get a new powder because I dropped mine and broke it." Uh, how about no. I just want to look people dead in the eye and say "Tough shit."

woah! chill out, i just wondered what would happen if i did that. its obvious that i wouldn't even THINK about returning it if they were to throw it away. I fully realize that it was a clumsy accident on my part, which is why i'm trying to find another solution that won't be a waste/hassle to anyone. The people you're talking about are the people that won't even ask about this subject in the first place.

Hun, you don't need to tell me to chill out just because I gave you an honest answer because I think what you were considering doing is shady and dishonest. The people I am talking about are anyone that would even consider returning something like that. A lot of people seemed to agree...
If you did mean to ask if you could just get a brush without returning the item(which isn't what you said) , no there aren't extra brushes that get shipped out. You could get super lucky and find a counter that still had one from their display testers and would give it to you.

Yeah that can't be exchanged out... not only are they probably already sold out of all their palettes but it's not the companies responsibility to replace something that was damaged by the consumer. mac would probably not even be a company if they allowed people to return/exchange things that people break on their own because shit happens so often.. not on purpose.. just happens.
