I am an NC 25 or 30 and am looking ot get MAC Sculpt & Shape duo -Bone Beige/Emphasize, are these good colors for me or should I get a darker color.. I know they come seperately now.
I've learned that you must go 1-2 shades darker if you want to contour and highlight. i've tried the duos and im not a huge fan of it so my suggestion is go with getting a blush in the color blunt..its a universal contour color i use on all my clients and even myself (im a nc42). Test that out first and if you need a highlight i would use the iridescent pressed powder in belightful. Just a suggestion! Hope it helps!

Bone Beige Emphasize may be a little on the light side for you.
I am 20/25, and I found that bone beige was dark enough, but showed up as too much of a reddish-toned brown on my skin. I use Emote and/or Taupe blush instead.
I found these at my CCO. I'm als NC20/25 and thought that I was going to be a Bone Beige but when I saw it IRL it had reddy tones to it. I got Accentuate/ Sculpt and quite like it.
Damn really ladies.. I got the bone beige / emphasize already.. the MA on the MAC site chat suggested it.. I used it and like it.. it is a suddle but nice contour.. I think I am happy with it.. I love the white.
I was at a MAC event this weekend, and their regional trainer gave me some tips on contouring. She recommended bone beige/emphasize for me (NW20), and she said since the idea of contouring is not knowing it's there, the lighter the hand, the better. Just lightly brush it on. She recommended prism blush. It's a little pink for me, but she said that cool colors are best for contouring, since they create a shadow. Hope that helps some!
You can use a shadow as a contour depending on your skin tone. As a highlight I use a MSF or vanilla pigment.
If you really want an intense glow try vanilla pigment & follow with some fix + w/ a stippeling brush
