mac & shipping!

hey guys, i ordered some stuff from MAC and since i never really used the official website to order from, i was wondering if they shipped items seperately or all together?

i'm only really worried because i ordered the three dress camp lippies, and i'm scared that the actual lipstick might have been sold out! they would email me about this if it were the case, right?

When I ordered my Fafi stuff, they shipped it in one box.

I think if they are sold out of an item, and you ordered X amount of an item they would probably tell you that it's on back order?

if you log in to your MAC account, you can view your order, and it should say "ACCEPTED" if the item is good to go. If there is a problem, it will most likely say, although I've not had that happen so I don't know what they'd say. But if you were able to click on the lipstick to add it to your cart, it means it was available at the time of purchase. Again, check the status of your order and if the lipstick is in there, then you should be golden.

I placed my order for Dress Camp on the 15th just after midnight [so technically the 16th] & they just emailed me NOW to tell me that the palettes are out of stock & I will not be receiving my order in full. What a load of crock - I had the same problems with LE eyeshadows [cumulus, I think] & the CS email told me that their site was slow to update and that they're working on fixing that problem .. WTF!! It shouldn't take them two & a half days to figure out that they don't have stock!!

Did the e-mail say it was "backordered" or "out of stock"?

"Backordered" means they will ship it to you when they restock.

"Out of Stock" means they no longer have the item and will not be sending it to you.

^ Dress Camp was an exclusive, meaning they had one run & that was it. I spent half an hour on the phone with their CS manager because this is the second time this has happened - it's available on the site, I order, and then I get an email a few days later saying I won't be getting it.
They've acknowledged it's a problem with their website updates [lag between out of stock on product & updating the site].

They do occasionally restock an exclusive (receive additional product or do another run), but I wouldn't hold your breath with this one.
