MAC Silverstroke vs Smashbox Smashing Beacon duo?

Has anyone seen the duo? Are there any differences b/w the silver liner and Silverstroke? I can't seem to find pictures of it anywhere, even MUA, and there are only 2 reviews there. Was is that useless an item? =P TIA!

OK, here are some pics I took. Clickable thumbnails. Smashbox is on the left, MAC is on the right.





The Smashbox is a lighter silver color. Its almost sparkly, while Silverstroke is very creamy and metallic. It is way easier to blend and use. Its a little hard to tell the color difference from the photos, but the Smashbox is a little lighter IRL.

Thanks so much csuthestaphi! The pictures really help. If I could bother you with a few more questions... What is the white side like? Does it have the same consistency as the silver side? Lastly, is the duo easy enough to work with the 266 brush, even if it's not as creamy as Silverstroke?

Opps! I forgot about the white side. Both sides do have the same consistency, and they are a bit dry. I don't have the 266 brush, but I usually use my Sonia Kashuk brush when I work with them.



This is the white side. It is very sheer and shimmery. It would work ok as a brow highlight and in the inner corners.
