CAM, I think the best method or guide in order of buying MAC brushes is, sorry for brush posting ev1, but I digress,
1. 239-packs on color, can blend outer v, highlight, versatile and a dupe for it is the Loew Cornell 3/8 purple handles brush at Micheal's.
2. 217-blends outer V, Crease, stiff but soft hairs
3. 224-blends crease, applies light wash of color so you can blend anything with it, hold it the right angle and you can get a sharp crease
4. 222-does the same as 224 but it white haired, smaller so it can get in between colors, say for instance you do your outer V, but you want a light wash on color on top between V and highligher, perfect for this brush.
5. 219-pencil brush-tear duct action and lower lashline and V not a must have especially since the dupe is Essence of Beauty Crease duo brushes at CVS.
6. 272-a thinner goat haired version of the 275, that they put in every limited brush set it seems, makes a perfect line for your outer V and blends.
7. Lowe Cornell's 1/8 purple handled brush that is like the 239 but tini-tiny and will let you do rainbows (awesomely
,) or 3-4 colors on lid, without overlapping, tear duct, and great for lower lashline when you want to get in as close as possible.
Budget the brushes out and collect them because we all know you can have 18 palettes worth of shadow but if the brushes are not right (which will make you work harder), your shadow is a HAM.
, in general.
