I called a MAC store this morning around 8am. I wasn't going to call until 10am because that's when they usually open, but I figured I'd call anyway to see what would happen. Someone answered and I placed my order because I didn't think I'd be able to go to the store until later this evening. I thought Pink Pigeon would be sold out by that time. The $7 shipping fee killed me, but I didn't want to risk not getting Pink Pigeon.
Lo and behold, I had an unexpected window of opportunity to go to my local store shortly after placing my phone order. I went to the mall in the snow thinking that I could buy Pink Pigeon there instead and cancel the phone order. Lol, that shipping fee really bothers me. My local store had Pink Pigeon in stock, but they don't do holds. I didn't want to cancel my phone order before I got to the store and risk getting nothing. I made it to the store and there were a few people already there. Pink Pigeon was still available, so I call the other store to cancel my phone order. I was told that I could cancel the items, but the shipping fee was already processed and that they can't refund it once it's been charged. Womp womp. I just kept the phone order since I was going to be charged for shipping anyway. I probably spent that much in gas just driving to and from the store. I should've stayed home, but the makeup frenzy took over.
I went ahead and swatched the MES from Apres Chic to make my trip worthwhile. Gorgeous. liba is so right about them. I want them all, but I only left with Winter Pursuit and Frost at Midnight. I hope to get the rest later when more funds become available. I also quickly swatched all of the lipsticks from Strength and Apres Chic while I was there. I'm very happy with everything I got.
