MAC To The Beach Event...

Hi ladies,

So just about every MAC store in New York City is sold out of Marine Life
ssad.gif

BUT...there are a few events coming up in several stores, so do you think Marine Life will be in-stock again during those events?

TIA <3

I wouldn't know, my fiance threw away my brand new Cosmo! grr. It's not UK, but I've been wanting to look and see if it has TTB in it.

Well the UK is the only one i buy
blush-anim-cl.gif
and it has TTB in it. I don't know when i hit the newsstands but i'm glad it doesn't feature our friend the seahorse. That would be disappointing if people saw it now and couldn't find it in stores

As usual I wasn't impressed with this collection...went to my MAC store to see this in person..WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL...I just bought the Coral Crepe Paint pot and an Orange color matte lipstick...
saving my $$$ for the July Collection...looks a little more promising than this one..

I don't think so, but would be great if they did, there are so many people looking for one to buy.

This is my first summer collection, and I'm loving it! (I missed Style Warriors completely last year.) I still want to go back for more.

Hi there ladies. I was just at my mac counter which is located in Macys. They still have six Marine Life and four Hipness blushes. I once was talking to a girl that works there and she said they do shipping. So the counter is in Mishawaka, IN and the phone number is 1-574-273-9462 The girl that is a gem and always helps me out is Simone if you'd like to ask for her. She's quite nicer then the other gals. I hope this helps some of you. :)

. I wore Sushi flower, Romping and Plum dressing yesterday and everything seemed ok especially since I'd worn Sushi and Romping before and no reactions. However this morning I had the mucus and redness. Is that what you get? I cant figure out what it is that bothers me but Mineral e/s do it too! It's so frustrating because it looked so nice! I also had HOT HOT HOT and had to swap it because I had the same reaction. I was hoping Firecracker wouldnt bother me since it has more orange in it. It didnt bother me after the MA did my m/u so I bought it

Just throwing this out there at you...is it possible that you're either allergic to your brushes OR you have a bacterial growth on a brush? Can you use the same brush with other colors and not have a reaction? It definitely is possible to be allergic to certain coloring, especially red tones. Not fun at all! I don't know about MAC, but sometimes companies use a particular red insect (I can't remember the name of it) to create the red coloring. And people can be allergic to that bug. We were just talking about that at work recently. I'm so sorry you're dealing with that.

No, I usually jump at cooler pinks, but this one really didn't strike me as being so different that I *had* to have it. Didn't even bother trying it on. Seemed very "whatever" to me.

My TTB haul was

Marine Life (in love with it, worn it 3x in the 6 days since I got it)
Sweet & Punchy
Firecracker
Funbathing (went back to get it, although I passed on it the first time as too similar to "O")

I've now tried Thrills at 3 different locations (because I'm retarded), hoping that it would eventually look as cool on my lips as it does on my hand... no dice. It skews really orange on me. Sigh. If it were acceptable just to wear lipstick on your hands, I'd get it for sure...

Can you please don't return it. They will throw it away, and that is soo sad with so many Specktra's and else who want it and can't have it. Why don't you CP it or exchange it with someone on the boards?

Where do I start?! I added to my haul yesterday. Ended up getting the teal e/l and shimmer moss. Also picked up Weekend cream bronzer and Refined Golden. So this has been one massive haul for me!

I started playing with some of it today. Here are my thoughts....

Weekend cream bronzer, is actually very pretty. It looks darker than the other one, but it also has some rosy tones to it. The other one disappeared into my skin when I swatched it. This applies fairly easily, I layered Refined Golden over it, buffed it a little and had a nice bronze-y shade on my cheeks with a hint of rose undertones. Loved the look, but didn't seem to last quite long enough.

Sand & Sun. This actually showed up as a light but bright corally peach shade on my lids. A lot like how Coral crepe p/p looked once I added Tissue Weight over it. It also wore really well. I'm really glad that I got this.

Float on by e/l. As someone here suggested, I applied this by rubbing my e/l brush on it to pick up the colour and lined my upper lid. I set it with Shimmermoss. Looked so pretty/summery and really made my rather bland brown eyes pop! Wore really well too, didn't have smudging issues, but I'm sure setting it with the shadow helped. Happy with this as well!

So far I'm really happy with everything I got. These were actually the products that I was most unsure of and love everything! I also tried Hipness yesterday and while I love the colour, I have some serious issues with the staying power of this blush.

That's exactly what i was about to say!
I'm sure someone will buy it from you if you post it in the clearance bin, it seems like all of the ones posted there have been snatched up the same day. Send it to a loving home instead of the trash bin

If I happen to find the lustre drops at the MAC sale that you wanted, I'll sell you a ML at cost+tax if you still wanted them all

Pretty much. They do the same thing at Sephora with returns. Once it leaves them they have know way of being 100% sure the product wasn't tampered with so they can't put it back out on the shelves for someone else to buy. If someone did something to it, another person bought it and something happened to them as a result of using it they could be sued.

Technically I believe it goes into their B2M pile, but essentially, yes. MAC won't resell any returns, even if it is BNIB (or appears to be). They can't be sure someone hasn't tampered with it once it's left the store.
