So... i'm kinda 'new' to MAC stuff.... i'm 18 years old and i just started using makeup 5 months ago.. i know most teens would go with drugstores instead of high-end brands,, uhm.. well.. not that i'd prefer high-end brands,, it's just that... MAC is soooo tempting.... i'd skip their eyeliner and mascara though,, cause i prefer getting 'em in cheaper prices... and i'm not going to go crazy with their e/s either.. 10-15 at most..

so basically... the only MAC stuff i already have are :
#217
#239
#266
Blacktrack Fluidline

so... could you recommend me some really really BASIC stuffs that in your opinion are MUST-HAVE..?? oh... i think i'm going to skip their foundation and powder too for now... probably 10-15 e/s (neutral + some basic color) + blush (2-3) + face brushes etc.

additionally, i'm going to go to MAC next week and promise myself to put a limit of AU$200... for comparison with US$... each e/s costs AU$32 (yea.. i know), MAC #217 = AU$37, MAC #187 = AU$85 (argh!!!), blush = AU$40 --> and already on myy lists are :

MAC #187 + MAC #168 + Springsheen Blush
or
MAC #187 + Springsheen Blush + Shroom e/s + Woodwinked e/s
or
Springsheen Blush + Shroom e/s + Woodwinked e/s + Satin Taupe e/s + Dollymix Blush + 'brownish' blush for contour

i'd really appreciate your advices!!!

Oh I love Satin Taupe. It's a def must have e/s. Check out the paint pots. I absolutely adore them and it's certainly a must have for me. I also love my 187 brush and my 224 brush.

My 'can't live without' MAC - Humid e/s, Carbon e/s, 217 brush (I see that you already have it), Mineralized Blush in Nuance, and Cubic blush

If you can hold off for the brush sets I'd recommend that. I don't have a whole lot of brushes, so I got the face brush set, and I'm in love.

You have some good eyeshadows there! A lot of my must have colors you already have, but I love Vanilla e/s, Sumptuous Olive (green/brown, depending on the light), Sketch (a plum color that's great for the crease!) and a matte brown color. I'm really fair, so I like Corduroy.

Dollymix is a really pretty blush; it was one of my first MAC blushes. It looks bright in the pan but it goes on really sheer and it's great for building color. I also really like Blooming from Cult of Cherry. Depending on how pale you are, Strada's good for contouring.

Good luck and enjoy! I hope you post your haul. I'm interested to see what you'll get.
