MAC vs. NARS blushes

i'm a freelance makeup artist, where most of my clients are brides and sometimes, debutantes (yes, we sometimes have that here in my country). Anyhow, my makeup has to look good in photography AND in real life.

Now, i've been using MAC blushes for the longest time (color range is good and price is cheaper compared to NARS), but lately i'm considering NARS (it's just tempting!!!). But i'm afraid that NARS blushes are too shimmery... giving an oily look as opposed to a "blushing" look.

please help me!

Not all NARS blushes are shimmery. they have some very good matte blushes as well. I don't think their shimmery ones give an oily look - although it depends on which specific one you're talking about ( the shimmer tends to vary with different blushes). Some are very shimmery, others have very beautiful fine shimmer.

NARS makes several matte blushes. I personally think their blush range is one of the best in the business. They last for ages and I find them an excellent investment.

I agree with what everyone has said, ive ony tried out the MAC blushes in the store, and im not a fan of the textue. And even thoug they have many colors, i dont think any are as pretty as Nars (their minerized blushes are a different story though lol).

In the end , i would rather spend more money on a few great Nars blushes, than spend less money on a ton of blushes from MAC that arent as good.

PS Luster from Nars is one of the most perfect shades of apricot blush ive seen, it has very fine shimmers that give you a nice glow.

I bought some Nars blushes, because of the hype (4 cream blushes all at once)...didn't like them...so I never went back to try them...I do want to trr Nars again maybe this time the "matte" blushes.
