the lip erasers are for erasing the lips if you're seeking to draw an unnatural lip shape on and the sculpting powders are to add depth and contour, like on the hollows of the cheeks. a lighter than your skintone shaping powder can be used also for highlighting.

for your skintone, i'd say go with dim lip erase, accentuate shaping powder and shadester sculpting powder (but be careful to use this lightly or it might be too dark!) hth!

I tried them. I put some swatches in the swatch section for them.

I tried both Lip erasers and they were not moistuizing and I said you were better off putting Painterly Paint Pot on your lips, but I tried them a second time, and they were creamy and awesome! They removed the pigmentation from your lips and did not bleed through your lipstick or lipgloss. I would get Dim, Pale is too pale for your skin tone.

Shadester sculpting powder would be perfect for you. For the shaping powder, warm light would work. They all have this great consistency. They do not "fly" everywhere when you use your brush, but they are not super creamy either.

THanks DAnaPotter..I just checked out your swatches!!

DO you think I could substitute the lip erasers for a lighter lipstick in a similar colour to dim instead?? Do you personally think it's must-have for your collection?
I am lovin the look of the sculpting powders though!!

I'd say that if all of the Pro artists thought that a lighter lipstick wasn't enough to change the shape of the lips or neutralize color completely (which is what lip erase is for) then probably the lip erase does something completely unique or better than any substitution. Whether it's a must-have, though, I can't answer. Do you change the contour of your lips often? If you have a professional kit to do makeup on other people, it may be a "necessity" but for a consumer user- probably not.

Yeah, I do not think it is a must have for a collection. More for a pro level, I guess. I did not buy it because I could not figure out if I wanted to use it that often!

I've been using the Pale lip erase just to lighten my pigmented lips so that more of the color of the L/S or L/G will show more. Before the lip erase, i was using Fleshpot lipstick just lightly patted onto my lips with my fingertip. They seemed moisturizing to me.

Same here, I have been using my fleshpot lipstick for that purpose too. I think i will have to test it out at the pro store & see if its worth getting the lip erase for my professional kit.

I have the sculpting powder in bone beige and the shaping powder in accentuate. I really like them, the only thing is that it takes a lot of practice and skill to get the scultpers to look good. And the shaping powder is essentially a less shimmery/frosty highlighter. That being said, I love mine and use them a lot, but Danapotter said, definately not a must, but nice to have.
