MAC's Eye Cream

Alright, so it's not like MAC has an out-of-this-world reputation for it's skincare line, but sometimes they can surprise me.

What do you guys think of Fast Response and Moisture Feed? I have severely oily skin, but my under-eye area is super dehydrated. (I'm 20, and I just found out last month it's imperative to use eye cream no matter what age you are. Doesn't it sound like an old lady thing? Eye cream?) I've been taking home eye cream samples of stuff from all over the department (Dior, Chanel, Clinique, Rodan and Fields, Estee Lauder), but nothing seems to make a big difference. I'd like to hear your opinions on MAC's stuff.

Thanks in advance!! :loveya:

Maybe I've been misinformed, but I've been using my regular cream around my eyes for years (just apply a little gentler, that's all). I understand the need to moisturize that area, but can't see myself paying 10-20x more for an 'eye-specific' lotion/cream. So far, so good (my eyes are aging right along with the rest of my face LOL). I don't have any crow's feet (I'm 34), but that doesn't mean that genetics didn't play a big part in that.

So, if I had to vote, I'd say use your regular face cream (the night one, since it's usually more moisturizing), but use your ring fingers to pat/apply.

That being said, I've used the fast response, and it did help for those days when I cried all night! The cream seemed to reduce the puffiness nicely, but then again, so does a cold compress

i own both, was told to use fast response during the day and moisture feed eye at night by my trainer, doesn't do very much

i prefer fast response because it feels silky and helps my concealer go on nice and smooth, however in terms of helping with dark circles i dont think it does much

it helps with puffiness a little too i guess...

i heard peter thomas roth makes a great eye cream but a couple of girls i work with swear by oil of olay eye cream and they said they have tried everything and it works the best

Fast response is OK. It works a bit on puffiness but does nothing to diminish dark circles at all. I use my regular eye cream first then use this to help any puffiness go down, and to lay a nice smooth base for my concealer.

I wouldn't buy it again though I must say.

My main concern is hydration and getting rid of fine lines. (Yes, I'm 20: I don't know how I have fine lines right under my eyes already.) I'm not puffy, I'd actually like to "plump" up the skin under my eyes because it's a little thin. I don't have much darkness, but everyone could use a little brightening up under there.

I asked my favorite MAC M/A today which eye cream she liked better and she also recc'd Fast Response. The description for Moisture Feed on the MAC.com sounded very tempting, though. But Oil of Olay you say? Or what else has gotten great reviews?

hi there my friend has dry skin and even though she's only 22 she's obsessed with getting rid of the finelines she has around her eyes
anyway she has tried quite a lot of eye creams and she bought the mac one. and she told me that it's actually very hydrating and nice on but didn't do anything else for her.

I'm 22 & have terribly dark circles as well those damn lines already too. I haven't really found any miracle products yet.
I have both...
*Moisture-Feed eye-bought this because my eyelids get dry & flakey...It gets rid of the dryness better than anything else I've used, but don't get too addicted. It's d/c as of 12/26.
*Fast Response Eye-my new "every day" eye cream. If I don't put it on before my makeup I can totally tell the difference...makes everything really smooth. I don't know how the optical diffusers have worked for my lines really, but I have noticed a bit of a change in my older customers. It's also really soothing...it gets rid of the sting that I get from the MAC Wipes (that I still insist on using, despite the pain).

Hmmm...this is harder than I thought! Anyone know anything about ingredients?

I wanted to switch all my skincare over to LUSH, but I'm not so sure about their eye cream: (Ingredients: Lavender, almond oil, jojoba oil, honey and the synthetics) but I also trust Origins, they have something called the Eye Doctor which sounds perdy good: (ingredients: Cucumber, Rosemary, Ginseng, Green Tea and the synthetics ). I'm getting kind of interested in the MAC Eye Care, though...might have to get both...why are they discontinuing Moisture Feed? Any ideas?

I've been using eye creams forever. Regular creams, I've always read, are too "heavy" for the delicate thin skin in this area. Also, the dark circles, for a large part, are hereditary and no cream is actually capable of making them disappear. Smoking robs skin of everything, besides also making those little lines around your lips.

I used to really use a Lancome undereye cream a lot, years ago, but lately have been using a Clinique rotated with Prescriptives Line Preventor which is really good. I'm thinking anything at all is better than nothing, and you can find a whole range of prices of stuff, but definitely use something, just a little dab morning & night. And be sure and drink water!

Sorry I didn't talk a lot about the Moisture Feed, but i did have a sample of it at one time and really liked it, too. I just think even if you pick up some L'Oreal or something at Walgreens or somewhere, it's better than nothing, you can always switch around till you find something you really like. Just don't use too much, and really oily based will make your concealer crease.

they are redoing the packaging of their skincare. I think the new packaging will be available at the end of dec/early Jan?

im tryna remember what my mom uses, she does extensive eye care twice a day and she's 52 but all my friends thought that my mom was 40 because the eyecream made her look younger.

she used to use ROC, which is expensive but worked, then it was Oil of Olay but since i blagged a Clinique eyecream sample and gave it to her, she used it ever since and she says its the best eyecream, but idk what its called though sorry

so why dont you pop to a Clinique counter and have a look at their eye creams?
