Makeup brush addict seeks help

Okay ladies I need your help,

I have a pretty extensive brush collection (70+) brushes.

Only three of these are MAC (the 188 the 150 & 212)

I own 5 Stila brushes ( #15, #4, #5, #7 & #9)
3 Dior brushes blush, shadow & my favorite the kabuki powder brush
3 Smashbox brushes (#10, #15 & #20)
4 Laura Mercier brushes; mineral primer brush, cream blush brush, secret concealer brush & brightening powder brush
The Too Faced teddy bear set

I own 22 Nars brushes too many to list but let’s just say I have them all spare the artisan brushes

I also own about 40 or so Sephora brushes (although half of these are part of my working kit and are not for personal use)

I kinda feel like I am missing out only having the 3 MAC brushes. I am a brush whore and I want more!!!

Do I even need any MAC brushes? I hear people talk about how awesome they are all the time and it just really makes me want a few more.

Can you guys recommend a few “must haves” I don’t need everything (clearly) but I just can’t help myself.

Oh...my...lord.

I don't see how you could possibly ever need another brush...aside from natural wear & tear. Obviously since I don't know ALL the brushes you have, I don't know if you're lacking anything (although I highly doubt it)...but if you've got that many brushes, and they're good quality, I can't see you needing anything from MAC. If you want to increase your MAC brush collection, I would just do it gradually, as you need to replace brushes. You know, one gets a little ragged, you can replace it with a MAC equivalent...
Man...I wish I had 70+ brushes..

I feel its kinda like shoes...... you can never have too many. I have 250+ brushes. Mostly Mcevoy, Mac, some BB etc... No I am not a MA, just a housewife brush whore!! One day I might post a pic but in doing so it would just confirm my lunacy.

Wow. That is soooome collection. I would agree you probably don't need anymore. However, I thought I'd tell you my 3 absolute fav's. 217 for blending/concealer, 109 for liquid foundation, contouring, blush, highlight and 219 for lining, smoking out a colour. I use these every single day. I've got all but 5 mac (foundation mostly) brushes and these are my can't live without ones. Hope that helps. Susan

Hee Hee your worse than me!! Perhaps I don't feel so bad now!

Still there are quite a few brushes that I am lusting after....

What brushes are you lusting after..? At the very least, we can probably at least help you figure out whether they're worth adding to your collection or not.

I can tell you I love love love my 217 and 222...I use them often...and I have the 109, and love that one too. I mostly use it for my highlighter or bronzer...but I've used it for just about everything else, too...foundation, blush, contour, etc...
The 231 and 228 are two that I don't have...but I don't think i'm missing out on anything...the other brushes I have do a great job getting shadows into smaller areas.
