Makeup Forever HD Foundation.. HELP!!!

Whilst on holiday in the States I went in to Sephora and got colour matched for Makeup Forever HD Foundation and the MUA matched me to HD120 (I'm normally a NW25). I'm kicking myself now, as at the time I thought it was a little on the light side, but decided that the MUA probably knew best. I bought 2 lots of the HD120, however now that I've got it home and tried it for myself I'm not entirely happy with it. I'm getting a polka dot effect on my skin and the polka dots are lighter than the rest of my face. I don't have particularly large pores and I've tried this foundation both with and without primers and pore minimizers, I've also used different methods of applying ... fingers, sponges, brushes 187, 190, 191 but I still get the same effect. I think the foundation is just too light for me.

What I would like to try is maybe buying a darker HD foundation and mixing it with the two that I already have to darken them up a little. I probably only need to get the ones I have to go a shade darker, but I'm not sure which colour to buy to mix them with and I don't have access to anywhere that sells makeup forever other than online. Can any of you recommend which shade I would be best buying to mix with what I have?

I'm gutted as I love the texture of this foundation, and have two bottles of this stuff which I can't use. Please help me

Wow, I'm surprised she matched you to 120, a yellow shade, to your NW25 skin! When I'm a NC25, 118/120 works for me... I'd guess you'd be a 125 (beige undertones) or a 130 (beige/pink undertones).

You should mix it only if the colour is the problem! If the consistency does not suit you, sell it or swap it as it wont make any difference if you just change the colour by mixing it.Next time try to get a sample of the make up u like to purchase to test it first
