Makeup looks for bright (almost neon) pink

I got this really great new bright (almost hot) pink. I am very light (though not fair) skinned and have dark brown hair. What makeup should I wear??? A busy eye seems like it might be too much. Am I wrong???

How about a simple eye with just a wash of neutral colour and mascara (falsies maybe), defined brows and a bold lip? That's my go to look when I'm wearing something busy or bright but I still want some colour on.

I have a few metallic pinks (pigments) too, & picked up a metallic hot pink pigment last week so I'd be interested in some tips too!

One thing I have tried that worked well was -- I put the metallic pink all over the lid with Inglot's Duraline (mixing mediium), I put Inglot's Matte Black pigment (dry) lightly on top & it turned into a cool pink & black duotone.

I always keep the rest of my makeup neutral if I wear a crazy eyeshadow, so nude or light pinks or browns including lipstick.

I love BOTH of these ideas. I'm wearing it tomorrow and I may try these out this evening before I wash my face for the night. Thanks!!! BTW, love your profile pic spectrolite! I'm SO into that look!

You can do a clean eye. "Clean" doesn't always mean light and neutral though. You can do a clean, black liquid liner or a wash of brown with lashes on top. I love hot pink lips!

I did a very light wash of pink color with the fluidline cats eye and my Big Bow lipstick from the MAC Hello Kitty Collection. It was perfect!
