Makeup with GOLD formal gown...

I'll be attending a formal event this fall and will be wearing a true gold-colored gown (i.e., not yellowy looking, it'll be pure golden). As you can see, below, I'm NC43. Need eye and lip color recommendations. I do have a generous sample of Old Gold pigment that I would love to incorporate.

(Of course, I don't have to tell you that I need to be *fabulous*!)

Because the dress is so attention-grabbing, I'd dial the make-up right down - flawless base, appropriate contouring, soft creme blush, neutral eye dressed up with liquid liner and lashes for oomph, well-groomed eyebrows, elegant lip. You don't want to look like you're wearing nothing, but you want everything to be super-refined and classy. Keep the gold accents for your hair - maybe a gold-streaked flower or clip.

If you wear gold-toned make-up in addition to a true gold dress, you'll look like an awards statuette.
