male looking for advice - prominent eyes

Hi there,

So yeah I have big and usually beautiful eyes with big eyelids and bags (but they are fat deposits not from lack of sleep)..ive always had those. I love my eyes when I'm well rested but that's not happening so much anymore..really busy. So when I don't sleep well I get these prominent, bulging eyes.

I'm trying to find if there is some fix that would be helpful at least a little bit (improvement) but that would be FIT for a male (ie not noticeable or very little)

Thanks guy

I have tried lots of products but to no avail. I have heard using a green tea bag moistened and put it in the freezer for a few minutes then place them under your eyes. The caffeine will help constrict the blood vessels to tighten them up. I have also heard sleeping with your head elevated will increase lymphatic flow to prevent the puffiness which is basically fluids leaking out of your delicate blood vessels in that area.

If you are willing to consider a "procedure" there is a surgery where they take your own adipose cells (I know it sounds gross) and inject them into the area to restore the youthful appearance. It is the only permanent solution according to the many sources I have read.

I have the same problem. I actually went to a plastic surgeon once and sought to have the bags sucked out! Surgeon said he would not do it because my eyes could become too dry...tears stored there, unless I had a dry eye test first. I decided surgery wasn't my bag (pun intended!). I have found that plain vitamin e oil helps the appearance of this. Got it at drug store for like $4 and figured, hey there are so many uses for vitamin e oil I will find someway to use it regardless. I looked for the highest iu's. Mine is 70,000 iu. I don't use every night for fear of clogging pores or iritating my eyes, but just use when I feel I need a little extra help. Maybe it is my imagination but after I use, I feel like that area under my eyes is so smooth.

Thanks for the responses.

Are you guys saying its the eye bags that make eyes look bulgy and prominent? I hate the "fixed" eye look..it makes you look like your on drugs.

Someone suggested to me that I could use a tanner/bronzer and that could help. (by making the skin appear more tan in general) and then on top of that if needed once the skin is already more tanned, a paint pot that is a share or two darker then the skin on top of eye.

what do you guys think?

I dont know how opposed you are to eye makeup, but I know that you can google eyeshapes and learn about contouring tricks. I took a stage and screen makeup course once and there are a lot of tricks you can do just by creating areas of shadow and light. There are probably some shadows/paintpots you could use that would be close to skintone that could create the effect without being makeupy. Dark makes things recede, light draws them out...so unless you are self tanning your eyeballs so to say, I don't think the tanning thing is going to work. I would worry too about placing a self tanner directly on that area. Most people who self tan skip the eye area and use concealers to blend that area in. Maybe a few shades of concealers would do the trick. Cold compresses might make the area less prominent, too!

no sorry. i dont mean to place the tanner on the eye area. i mean just using a bronzer to make your skin look more tanned, just like a natural sun tan, then using a concealer or paint pot (one or two shades darker) on the eye balls.

because if you tan your face you will be a darker shade and then you get to use even darker concealer on your eye. if you don't tan, then you can't use a darker shade on the eye.
