Okay so call me a major dumbass or whatever but...

Are mascara formulas dramatically different or is it more the brush that determines how your lashes look...

For eg. (Take the icky factor out for a minute, I know its there...)
If I chose to use a Fibre rich lash mascara wand with my zoom lash mascara tube, How different would it be from using a fibre rich lash wand AND tube or a zoom lash wand AND tube?

This is prolly hell confusing for you all to understand...

I think it is some of both. I mean, obviously if the formula is really rotten, a well-designed brush isn't going to save it (though I swear that's what some companies are thinking when they release new mascaras.) If you love one formula and the brush of the other, why not try it out? It's not hard to wash off the brush.

Sometimes, if I love a formula and hate the brush, I will use the Lash Perfection brush (yes, I have one saved just for this that I wash after every use). Also, it REALLY helps to thoroughly clean the brush of any mascara if the mascara is getting really gunky, flaky, etc. Just make sure that there isn't any lint or paper remnants on it.

Sorry if I didn't really answer your question...

60% of the money you spend on a mascara is for the brush, 35% is for the name and 5% for the mascara itself. Whether it's a gel, cream or fibre-based makes a difference, but mostly it's the brush that makes a mascara good or bad for each person.
