Hello! I apologize if there is already a thread on this, and if there is please just point me in the direction of it

I'm currently using Lola Refine-Shine Mattifying gel underneath Benefit Dr. Feelgood underneath Bare Minerals foundation and I'm still super-shiny within an hour or two! I'll apply Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil over that some days and it only lasts for a few minutes...

If anyone knows of any primer that can do some SERIOUS oil-busting duties, please please please let me know! I feel so icky

Thank you all so much!!

I'll tell you what I do/use and hopefully it will help.

for a moisturizer I use MAC's Oil control lotion. It's a moisturizer but a matteifier as well.

Then I put on Smashbox's Photo Finish primer. If I need more 'matte power' I use Smashbox's Anti-shine stuff (it's in a tube). then put on your makeup and don't forget the mineral veil (or whatever you use) over top.

I hope this helped a bit.

I had the same problem too. I tried lot's of oil-absorbing products, and they do work for a few hours... but after a few hours the combination of transpiration and oils build up (or moisturizing agents) seem to take control.

Now I just use Oil Blotting Paper to stay matte. It seems to have a relatively lasting effect, it won't disturb your make up, or confuse your skin and make it oilier or drier.

I carry around Palladio's Rice Papers in the colour nude. If you make sure the colour of the powder on the paper matches, the colour of the rice powder doesn't leave a trace. They don't disturb my makeup and they soak up all the oil. Perfecto done, easy/cheap/portable.
