Maybe this is a stupid question (Re: Magnets/Palettes)

So I depotted my shadows...bought a magnetized palette (online...waiting for it to arrive). Do I still need to get magnets to stick on the shadow pans? I wouldn't think so because they are metal that will stick to the magnetized palettes anyway...but in a tut I saw, someone said to purchase magnetic stick ons for the shadow pan...So I just want to be clear.

Go ahead and laugh at me if ya want, but answer me too ok

The pans are not usually magnetic themselves, you should get magnets to stick to the backs of them! I cut up old fridge magnets and glue them to the backs of my pans, HTH!

For a magnetic palette you won't need magnets. If you did glue magnets it would actually repel. Either use non-magnetic pans with magnetic pots, or magnetic pots with non-magnetic pans. Mac uses magnetic pots with non-magnetic palettes. It's one or the other or the magnets won't stick.

If you put the depotted eyeshadows in the MAC palette without a magnet on the back it will fall out.

That is the beauty of the refill pans that you can buy from MAC, they have a magnet on the bottom of them.

You can cut up refrigerator magnets and stick them to the back of the ones you depotted or get the self-adhesive kind from any craft store (that's what I use)
