Mickey's shopping day FOTD

Hi girls!!! Today I finally went shopping with my new friend Tara. We went to lots of little stores on Broadway Ave on Capitol Hill. I was in a bit of a rush with my makeup, but I think I did well. I know it's not as dramatic as most of my FOTDs, but I was trying for a day look. I used MAC Pinked Mauve and Covergirl Shimmering Onyx on the lid, and MAC Lovely Lily as a highlight.

Here's my outfit. It was the first time I've worn my boobs in public (the Christmas party was sorta private). I felt pretty comfortable tho.

And yeah, I know my purse is on wrong, but I had just gotten out of the car so it wasn't placed right yet. *blush*

I ended up buying a skirt (my first!) and some new lashes. The skirt is about knee length and black, with a black and silver sequined belt. The lashes are long and swept outward, sorta like MAC #23s.

I also found this dress which I LOVED. It was actually in my size too, and only $20!!! I SOOO wanted it, but the shoulder strap was almost broken off.

Half the threads were out and it would have snapped if I moved a lot. I took a pic tho-

I'm actually considering going back to get it, and repairing it myself. $20 is nothing, and it's gorgeous! I dunno when I would wear it though. It's more of an evening fancy event dress, no? What do you girls think I should do?

Thanks so much for looking! Tara wants to go shopping lots more this summer, so I'll have more pics to show you all! Including ones of my new skirt. Maybe I'll wear my new lashes in my next FOTD.

and I love that dress, it's gorgeous - I think if it's just the straps that are breaking apart, then definitely consider getting it and repairing it - $20 for a cute fancy dress is a great bargin! - and it looks so great on you too!

Looks really good. That dress is a really pretty colour on you. I'd go back and buy it. It'll take a whole minute to fix and you may even get more discount off the 20$ for it being damamged. I'm excited to see what you'll get/do next!

you look great! I really like the eyes. but what did you use on your lips? it's lovely.

I also agree that you should get the dress. I actually just bought a dress with a broken strap for 20 dollars.

and it's the easiest fix. and dresses are usually just so expensive... that I can't see it being not worth it, especially because you like it so much.
