I feel sorta wrong posting this today, even though I wore the look and took the pictures yesterday. It's just so soon after my green/gold FOTD and I don't want to post so often that you all get sick of me.
In my green/gold FOTD, I lamented on how similar many of my looks were feeling to me. So yesterday I did a look that breaks my normal mold. Remember when I first came here I said I liked dramatic eyes and subtle lips? Well my lips have been getting bolder since San Francisco, but the eyes have almost always dominated. So why not try neutral (*gasp*) eyes and red lips?! Lucky for me I have those 42 MAC pigment samples, or else I'd have no neutral shades to choose from! Similarly, I wouldn't have a red lipstick if not for my friend giving me some of her makeup last year.
I had a good time with this look yesterday, because I went shopping and finally found and visited the first MAC store in my state (it opened back in November)! I bought some DUO clear lash glue so that I'm less afraid of ruining my looks by applying fake lashes messily. Now I should be able to wear fake lashes more often!!! I'm going to stop back there for a bigger purchase and a makeover in the future once my finances are settled.
Anyway, here's the look. Once again, I used my standard products and procedure for most of it. For my eyes I used Lily White and Coco Beach, while my lips are Revlon Raven Red. Hopefully my beard shadow isn't too visible- I can't shave two days in a row without destroying my face.
That's another reason I don't normally post FOTDs two days straight. I did remember to powder my T-zone, contour my nose and fill my brows though!
What do you girls think? Is this a look I should do mre often? Are red lips good on me? Am I okay without dramatic eyes? Thanks again for all your support! *hugs*
