Mineralize e/s breaking

Has any had their mineralize eyeshadow(s) crumble or break? I just received a mini-order, and both my e/s are broken! One isn't bad, but the other is almost dust! Help!

Since the mineralized shadows/skin finish's are baked, they are really fragile. So i'm sure your not the only person to have them break on you. Return them and get a un-broken one.

I called the, and they're all sold out - guess I wasn't meant to have these! Now I'm debating - do I return them and get something else, or use the 'dust'?

I would return & get something else. Why keep a product broken in shipment even if it is LE?

I don't think I could get any satisfaction out of owning and using it if it arrived broken (and I never got to enjoy it [looking or using!] whole even once).

They break super easy! We had a lot at our counter break because people didn't realize how fragile they are. Even just pressing too hard on the shadow causes them to dent. I say, if you really love the color, use a damp brush and use them wet! You'll get great color payoff and you won't need a lot of it so it'll still last you a while. and just save the container when your done for a back2mac!

maybe you can sell sample, i think enough people here might be interested and you can get your money back and buy a new one(that doesnt break this time around)

I had that happen with my Tres Teal. It was shipped from Germany and didn't make it without breaking. I was able to fix it with alcohol, but I know that would be super-tough with the duos, and impossible with the one that turned to dust. I think I would return them and try and get it on Ebay, while they aren't too expensive.

i would get a refund. for full price, you are entitled to get a whole product, in saleable condition. even though the mineralize duos do break easily, same with any baked mineral product, perhaps mac should have taken better precautions when shipping them. hopefully, you'll find the colors you want in them, as i've seen a few of them go up for sale around specktra, MUA, livejournal, and ebay. but in my opinion, definately, you should get a full refund from mac.

I had one break when my friend accidentally dropped it on the floor (its all good I was able to get a replacement) but I am planning on grinding my broken one up and putting it in pigment jars when I can get my hands on some. That is probably your best option if you really like the colour.

i think it depends on how much you love the color.
BUT like bellatoile said- you deserve to get an item in saleable condition.
it is ultimately up to you, and you can still b2m it- that is a plus

sorry this happened sweetie. i would probably returrn it if it happened to me. the bummer of that is mailing exchanges to mac can take a while

I used water on Tres Teal when mine shattered. It looks like blue poo, but it works great... except for the blue poo part.
