mixed answers re. foundation shades

i went to a mac counter today and she put foundation on me in NC20. she said that the NC is for olive toned skin and the NW is for pinky toned skin. the NC20 made my skin look orange outside but inside it looked fine. so im guessing im NW. (my mom has olive toned skin..)

i totally thought it was the other way around? am i wrong?

One MAC MA told me I was NC and another told me I was NW.

I bought NC20 and it turns orange on me after a while.

The chart didn't help me because my veins look bluish but I can tell I have a yellow undertone to my skin. Guess I am the exception to the rule like it talks about under the chart.

a member told she used nc and looked a bit orange. now she uses C. maybe, you can try this...

The only MAC foundation I know that has the C series still is Studio Fix. So if you use Studio Fix, check the C's out.

The MA might have put something too dark for you and/or the color has oxidized over time.
