Mixing polishes?

I have a dark dark polish - it's essentially almost black with fine red glitter. The glitter looks great in the sun, but you can't see it unless you hold it up to the light at angles. Is there any way I could make the red glitter stand out a little more by maybe mixing in polishes or using another colour underneath this one? It's such a pretty colour in the bottle, I just wish it looked the same on my nails all the time.

I'd say adding a red glitter topcoat is your best bet. If you mix in another shade, it might come out gritty or not show how you want it to. But experiment!

Are you applying two to three coats? It's important to layer when dealing with glitter nailpolishes.
