Hi there!
I'm a 19 year-old from Pasadena, CA, and I've been lurking here for the past couple of weeks, and finally decided to join yesterday when I realized that, Wow, this place is full of great resources!
I've been wearing makeup since I was 10. My mom purchased my first real lipgloss from Walgreens. It was an awful, bright purple/magenta color that stained anything it touched. Aaah, good times.
I am usually wearing something from the drugstore, however, I purchased a Coastal Scents 88 palette last December and my life hasn't been the same since. I have been able to experiment so much with it, and it has opened a whole new world of color to me.
You see, I'm normally a neutrals kind of person, but I have discovered that greens and purples look great on me. I can pull of blues and pinks, but am afraid to try anything red, orange, or yellow. I don't know any way to not make it look garrish on me.
I just started wearing blush. My skin flushes very easily, and I don't need the added color. To my surprise, Clinique makes this wonderful powder that cancels out the red. It makes my face look very matte! I use that with Rimmel's primer and Bare Esscentual's powder foundation, and my face is blush ready. Excellent!
I have always owned a piece or two of MAC since I was 14, but have never really been able to afford more than that. Over the past couple of weeks, my obsession with having a palette full of MAC eyeshadows has consumed me, and so I went out today and bought a MAC Pro Eyeshadow palette (x15), along with Phloof!. I depotted two eyeshadows and a quad, and feel very accomplished.
I swear, if anything, this website will put me into financial ruin. It won't heal my makeup addiction; it will fuel it!! It's great to finally get up and post on this magnificent website. Ta-ta, now!
