Yep if you read it right, you know how hard it is to do. The reason I'm taking this action is, so that I have the opportunity to spend money on more important things such as, hair, clothes, shoes and lingerie. And you know a girl has to stay up, you know. Not in just the face. LOL I have to look right everywhere else you know. So yeah.
That's my plan from now until June! Yep. ALL...............The way til' June. June 15th to be exact! SO pray for me ladies. All these different collections M.A.C. is coming out with, You know I'll need a prayer.

I have been saying to myself that I need to just start getting 1 product every payday... that's it!... I have actually drawn up a budget for myself giving myself an allowance for spending money.. and I um.. haven't starting following it yet.

I have noticed that I have been spending more time and money on my make-up and not clothes and lingerie... So I will try to give the clothing a little more attention.. and take it easy on the MAC.

I've gone on hiatus until springish of next year as well. Except mine is for different reasons than wanting to buy clothes, etc. I have to save for taxes.

Good Luck...I buy very little from collections anyway..so I'm pretty good.
I also normally shop alot on clothing, shoes etc...But I have curbed that as well..Mainly because as My dh says...You only have 1 A$$ why do you need 100 pair of undies.....LOL Which is true..
We are just basically cutting back for reasons other than material shopping but because we just need to stop wasting money on things we will probably only use once or twice. I have e/s, l/s etc that I have never touched with backups of backups!! So crazy!!
We have kids that will one day be going to college and I doubt they will take my MAC or Clothing items towards the tuition.

I knoowwwww. I really need a jacket, shoes, clothes. But I spend all my money on MAC. What good is a made-up face gonna do me with no clothes! LoL I wont take a break from it, but I can monitor my purchases. 2 Collections a month is just out of hand...

I'm guilty too of going crazy with MAC, so I'm going through my traincase of things I don't use to sell to save up for my 1-2 splurges/year....it WAS that bad this year.

I'm trying to stay away from make up, clothes, shoes, EVERYTHING! I was late on my rent this month because my trip to Vegas drained a lot more than I had anticipated.....and I only gambled about $20! I felt like an idiot when I couldn't gather enough money to pay rent, I have so much make up and so many clothes that I would've been a pretty hot looking homeless person.

blah i'm with you guys. I said i wasn't going to buy anything until the holiday collections, but i failed. I spent like 400$ at the beg of this month and about 50$ last week. This weekend i did it again and spent another 70$. I need clothes and a jacket too ! Another thing i got engaged this weekend !!! so i need to start saving up, and i wont be getting any mac any time soon, that means no holiday collections, this is it ! we have to be strong ladies !

i agree ladies...i'm just waiting for the holiday collection then till next year. i have a lot of shit to worry about too such as winter clothes, gas and food. i have to fight my addiction!!!

I keep telling myself the same thing! But just two days ago I dropped $45 on MAC lol

And tomorrow I'm going to the MAC counter, but ONLY to get gifts and maybe one thing for myself. Thank god I have a gift card to the store where the counter is and will only have to use a minimal amount of my own money but STILL...I can understand everyone's frustration.
I never really realized until this past year how many collections a month that MAC seriously comes out with! I mean damn Ungaro and Manish were just released a couple of weeks ago and then BAM! Sheer Minerals, the rest of the Minerals stuff and Red She Said! It's crazy y'all.

OMG thats just crazy talk. I mean taking MAC out your system is just shocking. People goc razy for doing stunts like that. Lets be realistic, maybe buying a few items for each month should be the way to go. Or how bout you buy 2-3 tiems every other month. I have my share of responsibilities and goals and thats what I do. I think setting a budget sounds good for everything. I'm big on that so think it twice.

I actually have no extra money, so it's not hard for me to not indulge. My biggest splurge right now is getting drinks/lunch at this cafe where I study all the time. I usually only spend about 3-7 bucks whenever I'm there, but I go there a couple times a week. It's the best place for me to get work done, so I feel like I can justify going and spending money.

Other than that, I pay for school, housing, and groceries. And stuff like cleaning supplies. I had to steal forks from my mum while I was home this weekend because I only had two. I've been very responsible about MAC in the last couple years, I've probably only spent $200-$300 there since summer of '06. And that was because I probably spent $3000 on MAC from summer of '05 until summer of '06

. And I do it by avoiding all the parts of this site that focus on new collections. And never going to the counter, but it's so hard when I'm downtown near the pro store!

I've actually havent been buying any mac for a while....there are so many other things, like a laptop for school and well... bills for school that I have to spend money on oh, and more bills.......luckily I have a few B2M empties.

....Oh and did I mention I'm obsessed with like 4 other different makeup brands as well

...thank god I'm am not a shoe/clothing person also...I'd be dirt poor! lol

ive started slowing down my MAC purchases because i have so many items from the perm collection so i convince myself that whatever new that comes out i have something similar. And now with a lil one on the way i just restock on necessities..and with my luck im havin a lil boy lol, cant even pass down the "miracle of MAC" lol.....but once again good luck
