Moonflower is Mine!!

Hey ladies!!
Over the weekend I went back to my Dillard's MAC counter where I had seen Moonflower on display and I asked them if they still had it in stock since I know it's d/c'd. They had quite a few left and I bought it!! I am in love with this color!! Is it normal to be able to find d/c'd shades still at the store???

Like someone said, depends on the store. I found 3 stereo rose msf's before at a counter. It was like 2 years ago, and I couldn't believe they still had them! Congrats on your find!

Wow, that's a great find! I've yet to come across a MAC counter or store in London that holds on to d/c items for a long time.

I agree. I always ask and sometimes I hit the jackpot. Just don't be like me and as soon as you get "your precious" home you drop it and shatter it into a million pieces.

Oh no!! Sorry that happened. I will definitely take care of "my precious". I don't plan on depotting it either b/c I don't want to mess it up!!

I recently picked this up at a CCO, and what a *beautiful* shade of pearly blue. Isn't it great when you find a LE or hard to get item - it's like: SCORE!

I was at my local MAC store and I found a fairylite pigment ... weird ...

Tish, I've worn it with Platinum pigment - just for a touch of blue in the outer corner- electra e/s would also probably work - I think Moonflower needs to be paired with something cool toned for sure.

As happy as I was to pick it up, I don't reach for it very often either.

Congrats on the find. I love that blue. I actually use mine with Goldmine and I get so many compliments.

I used it Sunday with Haunting fluidline as a base and put it on the outer part of my lid with this purplish blue from Archetype on the inner part of the lid and lined with Prunella liner. It came out really pretty. I bet it would go great with Blue Brown piggie or on top of a black base!!

I love Moonflower! There is a tutorial in the tut section here that shows a great look with moonflower. She uses Rose Blanc on the lid, Moonflower in the crease and then Plumage in the outer v.
