MAC holiday -- a little more info r/o ( )
I just went to Henri Bendel's MAC counter (NYC) for the Blow l/s (got their last one!), and the MA asked if I wanted to pre-order any of the holiday stuff, since she remembered that I did last year.
So we looked over the catalogue again. The good news: Bendel had info on what colors were in the palettes/mini kits. The bad news: I didn't get to write it down, so there's a lot of it I don't remember. (Too much info swimming around in my head for a Friday!)
Anyway, it appears that the Luxurious and Indulgence face palettes are NOT Saks exclusive, since Bendel will be selling them also. Other snippets:
- they're apparently labeling the palettes as "warm," "cool," and "trend" this year. I know the magenta ones are cool. I *think* teal is warm and olive is trend, but I might have those mixed up.
- same deal with the mini lip kits. Magenta one is cool (the l/g is Courting Rose; forgot what the 2 l/s are). The l/g in the Teal one is C-Thru, Olive l/g is Prr. Again, can't remember what the l/s are.
- Colors in the lip gelee mini kit: Lu-Be-Lu, Glosspitality, Dewy Jube, Jelly Babe.
- 3 of the 4 shadestick minis: Taupographic, Out to Sea, Gracious Me. Blanking on the 4th. (I found out that the 4th is Beigeing.)
- One of the paint minis is Shimma. Wish I could've written down the rest.
- Each of the eye palettes appears to have at least 3 new colors in it (maybe 4). The Olive one, at least, has a bunch of VPs. The print in the color list was so tiny and squished, it was hard to read color names and finishes from the other palettes.
- Each lip palette will have 4 l/s and 2 l/g. It appears that both l/g colors in each palette are LE. At least one l/s in each one is; maybe more.
- The collection with the 3 new lip gelees in it is called Who's That Lady? Nobody seems to know what the "glimmershimmer" things in this collection are.
I pre-ordered the lip gelee, pigment, and cool lipglass mini kits. I'll wait until they have the palettes displayed (as they did last year)before I decide which lip/eye palettes I might want to preorder.
