I kinda of know what you mean. I sort of help people on the phone. They ask a question, I answer and it goes over their head. Or they act like the answer wasn't good enough. Like you said...you just have to bite your tongue. I mostly get defensive women, thinking I'm some female calling for their man! Which is freaking crazy to me. But, I know it must be frustrating. Especially about computer things. And men do like to treat women sometimes like we have no clue of what's going on. Stupid.
This guy one time asked why he doesn't have *69, and I said sir you have caller I.D so you don't really need *69. That just totally went over his head, and he kept asking for it. I'm like man nevermind, he doens't get it. LOL

Oh yeah... sometimes I'm totally scared to even bring something up because I know it will go totally over their head. I love explaining stuff to people and helping... if they will actually listen =/

I worked in a call center for 2.5 years lol... Taking calls, and managing TSR's heh...
Yeh, I really dont know what it is about the whoe phone thing, and people acting completely different than how they would if you were looking them in the eye.
Especially with the ease of profanity, insults, and abuse.
You wonder why TSR's are so annoyed with their jobs lol? It's having spoke to 787896567546 idiots and getting fed up with the job LOL...
We used to turn over our entire sales floor 4 times a year. Our employee count went up 5000 people in the 2.5 years that I worked. And this was all inbound calls, no outbound heh.

Thank you so much, raerae... yeah I need to work more hours but refuse to work more than 6 hours a day there.... so I'm going to find another job and work there as well... but only part time.
I never knew how much people expected you to fix anything internet related... like if their password for a site doesn't work... or they can't figure out where they put their downloaded music file....
