Most Wanted Postcards???

Hey I have just started collecting MAC postcards and was just wondering what are the most hard to find MAC postcards and which ones are rare and also which ones you guys would pay a lot of money for!!! I've heard of some selling for over $100!!! I was just wondering which ones and why those in particular!!!!

I would say the postcards released exclusively to Asia are quite rare and ones from throughout the 90's.

I would love to have the Cuisine ones! And while they aren't UBER rare, I love the Sins of Lipglass....alas, I refuse to let myself travel down the road of paying tons of $ for postcards!

I really want Dolled Up, Pop Mode, Eden Rocks, Haute Voltage, Cuisine, and Denim Dish as well as some others. They are not so extremely rare but I like the images so they are important to me.

I'm dying to get the Viva Glam card with Ru Paul in the red outfit posing to spell out the words Viva Glam. Two came up on eBay last year. I got outbid on the first one and I was away for the end of the second one so I set a sniper to bid for me. I was willing to pay up to $55 but the sniper didn't fire in time, (first and only time it ever happened to me) and I lost the card. It sold for much less than $55. I was gutted. I'm still hoping I'll find one one day. That's the only card I'd pay more than a few $ for, I think.

I am a collector myself and for TurboKitty...I just saw one of the Viva Glam cards with Ru Paul on ebay recently...and it went for a lot less than you might think because all of us that are big collectors have it already. Going now probably somewhere in the $20ish range. There is a black card and a red card that spell out Viva Glam in bodies with Ru Paul and he in two versions of Merry MAC mas. At the moment you could probably get Merry MAC mas for $10-$18 depending on who is selling it. The Frozen White card is on Ebay as we speak. The most recent sale of that very rare card was $100. Should be interesting to see what it goes for this time. If the card was from the past year, it should not be expenive, but then again, a lot of people think $5 for a card is too much. Then again, they must not really be a collector. If you go back to the main Specktra page and go to Color Stories it lists ALL of the cards in order of date going back to I believe 1999. Rembering that once a collection is over- there are no more cards-ever. Find cards that were avail in 1999-2002...they will cost more. There are still some cards out there that nobody has seen yet, but they do exist. We are all constantly amazed when a new one pops up on Ebay - most likely from out of the country.

Beware of one thing-- this is NOT an inexpensive thing to get in to. Once you're hooked, .......haaaaahahhhahahaaaaaaaa you're hooked good!

BY THE WAY ...anybody got old cards they are willing to part with??? LOL!!

I posted a 'hard to get' on ebay today...Who's That Lady invite. I was going to keep it for my collection, but my hus and I decided to try to get out of debt as quick as possible so we are both giving up some of our well loved stuff. Me, some of my collectibles (MAC, clothes, toys) and him, beer

It will be rough for both of us but I have a feeling we'll pull through, lol!

i have the ru paul merry macmas in the 2nd pose
cuisine menu

i stopped for awhile though and sold some =/
