no swatches to offer, but IMO they look absolutely nothing alike. On me at least, Moth Brown is very nearly gray. Like a charcoal mixed with a bit of plum-ish brown, very cool toned and fairly dark. Blue brown pigment is MUCH warmer and lighter, having an almost ruddy/burgundy tone to the brown (enough so that I often use it as a lip color!). It would almost reminds me of red clay if it weren't for the obvious blue shimmer which is on the tealy side. Moth Brown is shimmery, and you might say it has blue undertones, but it's not obvious while the blue in blue brown definitely can be if you use it wet or pack it on.

I'd say mothbrown has way more purple undertones in it than blue. I love mothbrown. it's an awesome color! but yeah.. it's very earthy-grey toned with more of a purple undertone to it. Does that make sense? heh

I'm totally in agreement with the above posts...

Blue Brown does indeed have very unflattering red undertones and flashes metallic blue. I've only seen this color look good on those with the darkest of dark skin.

Moth Brown, however, is gorgeous! It's a sheeny, complex dark grey-lilac, like if you married Crystal with Satin Taupe but took out the warmth, if that makes sense

Moth Brown looks great on everyone, IMO!

Another one that I missed....then tried to order off the foolish Macy's site. I actually thought I'd found an untapped resource of colors I'd missed....till they bounced right out of my shopping bag! *lol*

I agree with all of the above. I LOVE moth brown. It is perfect on my NW20 skin. I also have the small pigment bottle of blue brown and it looks terrible on me. Way too warm and I don't like the reddish tone in it. I should get rid of it.

The ladies who've described it above really hit the nail on the head; Moth Brown is f***ing amazing; I bought it on a whim and so glad I did. It is literally like a dusky moth's wing in eyeshadow form. And no, it's not at all like Blue Brown pigment.

I have heard MB compared to Shu Uemura's ME silver 945 (which is a taupe more than silver) but even that is not as complex colour-wise to rival MB.
