I find this news story both incredible and deeply disturbing.

That's awful. That poor poor girl, something has certainly gone wrong in her life to make her end up like this.

12 year olds shouldn't be going through this, they should be at school, having fun, playing games not getting drunk, having unprotected sex and having to look after a child.

that is sad...I actually know this girl who had a baby when we were in the 6th grade!!! It all seemed so strange to me...I still worried about hangin out with friends and playing and this girl was having a baby!!

not shocking here, considering the kind of notes I confiscated off of sixth graders when I taught that age group. Sad though, I remember having quite a few classmates tell me they had lost their virginity at 12.

Oh man. That's just awful. I remember thinking I was being quite rebellious when I wore a really sheer pink lipstick for my school photo when I was 12. Hahahaha.

Both of these KIDS need to be in foster care.

The 12 year-old mother needs unbelievable amounts of love and therapy. Someone has obviously really screwed her up. That breaks my heart. She strikes me as someone who is in so much pain that she will keep going full blast until something kills her and ends her pain. Very sad.

Thankfully, according to the news report, they now are.

Recently, a teachers' association called for children to be given the right to be allowed a childhood. Something this girl sadly hasn't had much of. You can read about the call here

This case doesn't even come close to the youngest pregnancy. There are confirmed reports of a girl giving birth aged 9 and reports of even younger mothers that I haven't been able to confirm. What a sad world it is at times.
