MultiSparkle

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good black eyeshadow or pigment with multi-colored sparkle? I've heard that Black Soul is black/gold, and I know that Blacktied is black/silver, but I just wanted a nice black/multi. If it's not MAC, that's fine.

Urban Decay makes an eyeshadow called Oil Slick that is apparently black with rainbow glitter. I've never tried it, but this is what the Sephora website says. Also, I know CoverGirl makes one for quit cheap that's actually not as terrible as their other eyeshadows. I find the glitter in that one shows up quite well, as long as you use a dark base.

Thank you very much! I just checked UD's site and they say that it's black with silver sparkle. :-/
I'll have to check out that CG shadow.

Yeah, I saw that too, but I googled UD Oil Slick and there were a bunch of reviews where people said it was rainbow. So yeah...I don't know WHAT to think now. UD seems to be the only one saying it's silver, but they ARE the ones making it. But yeah, CG definitely has one, so good luck!

Also, what you could do is use a black base like Sharkskin SS or Blackground PP and then put some multicoloured giltter over top. Make Up For Ever has some really pretty multicoloured glitters, and they're actually not crazy expensive (well...by their standards anyway, they're like $12 CAD).

I can help clear up the UD thing! Haha I've been using their stuff forEVER, and Oil Slick e/s USED to be black with rainbow sparkles, but unfortunately they changed it to silver glitter a couple years ago. I'm really bummed!

As for the CG, I don't know, and I can't help you with any rainbow black shadows but I'll watch the thread so that I can hopefully pick up a good one too!

Oh, well that explains it! That's dumb of them, rainbow would be so much cooler. And it's weird that they changed the colour yet kept the same name..

Blackground paint pot is supposed to be black w/ multi sparkle, but I'm looking for something that's a bit more versatile than a semi-liquid/gel formula.

I think I found one when I visted Victoria's Secret yesterday. It is one of the Beauty Rush eyeshadows that comes in a tube with a sponge applicator and it's dry powder. It tends to be on the bluer side, but it still is blackish w/ multi-colored sparkle.

I have ordered this as a sample (25 cents for 1/4 tsp baggy, $3.75 for 5gm pot/1.2g of actual pigment), but i wont get it for a week or two because of USA-UK shipping.
I'll update if its wonderful!

Some of my favorite multisparkle black eyeshadows are by Milan Minerals. My favorites are Black-N-Blue, Black Midnight, Storm, and Bragadocious which is a black with hints of green.

I also love by Mattese NYC, their High Density Paints Eyecolors in Black Gold, and Chrome.
