Good Morning All!

I'm going to my first MAC learning event at Nordstrom this Saturday. I'm so excited! I've got $50 towards product and am just getting into MAC. What are your absolute must have MAC essentials?

Thanks!

Brushes:
239
217
219
187

Fix+

Some eyeshadows to start with:
Carbon
Shroom (or highlight that works for you)
Soft Brown
Knight Divine

those are just a few suggestions! by no means a be-all-end-all!

The four basic eyeshadows that I recommed to start with are Vanilla, Cork, Wedge and Espresso. I consider them my essential neutrals! And of course, a Painterly paint pot.

It all started with the eyeshadows for me! My sister is new to MAC also so I am starting her with basic neutrals, such as Woodwinked e/s, amber lights, e/s. Oh, and LOVE the 217 brush and the 224.

Ooh, I forgot brushes! I have small eyes, so the 219 is working great for me for applying crease color, doing the outer V, and applying eyeshadow as liner. They are all handmade (with the exception of SE) so if you are interested in brushes, I would ask an MA to see a couple of the one you are looking for so that you can pick the brush that is made best for your eyes, as even three 217 brushes could look slightly different or even have smaller bristles.

If you wear liquid foundation, get the 190. It applies foundation just flawlessly and easily!

Makeup: You can find some really good lipsticks from MAC. Just about any color/finish you want. Go for the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder and try the blushes as well. Of course, you should also be able to find some really good, basic eyeshadows.

I had so much fun! It was a great girly few few hours and I met some very nice other makeup addicts!

Almost forgot my Strobe Cream was part of the haul.

Best tip? For a light makeup day, try Strobe Cream and wet a brush with Fix+ and apply MSF powder with it, mascara, gloss, and out the door. I would have never thought to wet my MSF powder for fear of ruining it before!
