My Beautiful New Baby!

Okay, so I always get a little too excited about new makeup (especially since I'm a boy, so I'm never the one wearing it unless I'm in drag, which only happens a handful of times every year. Mostly I just am a makeup artist) . . . but today I'm more thrilled than EVER!

A little background: I'm a huge huge HUGE fan of the film HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and I'm always on the lookout for rare promo type stuff related to the movie (I still need to get my hands on one of the foam wigs . . . anybody know what I'm talking about? Hee hee). I recently found an ebay seller who has a lot of movie memorabilia . . well, one of his auctions was for a bunch of Hedwig postcards and other little things. Among them was the MAC "ANGRY INCH" LIPGLASS! It's dark, dark red with rainbow (maybe holographic?) glitter and it's beautiful! I don't really have a swatch to show ya'll since I am going to use it VERY sparingly - only on special occasions. I did try it on today with bare lips and it's beautiful even without lipstick under it. I can't wait to see what it looks like over a crimson red. Anyway, enough of my gushing - here are the goods!

The movie came out on July 27, 2001, and was shown at Sundance earlier this year, which I believe is when these were given out, so it's from about six years ago.

During my Rocky Horror days I became obsessed w/ Hedwig (we even did a double feature at NYU Freshman orientation one year-NYC RHPS Cast & John Cameron Mitchell!!) & I once played whiffle ball in Washington Sq Park w/ him too....Hahaha, yes, I AM a loser!

I met JCM at a hedwig shadowcast at the IFC center in manhattan! he was hilarious and he bummed cigs from me all night.... which I was way more than happy to share! There was also a costume contest (hence why I'm dressed as Ace Frehely).... and I won! I received a gorgeous pencil drawing of Tommy Gnosis, signed by JCM!!!
